Re: Student Fees Comparison
Student increase as well to update student union.
Article says Nugget could move to student union. https://daily49er.com/news/2023/09/24/student-center-fees-set-to-increase-by-255-per-semester-next-academic-year/
Data from Fall of 2022 from https://www.calstate.edu/csu-system/about-the-csu/facts-about-the-csu/enrollment
San Diego State student fees $13,030,000 divided by 36,637 = $355.65 per student
Long Beach State student fees $4,210,000 divided by 38,270 = $110.01
Are we down about 9 million because we don't have football or a top 25 hoops team?
Why are the student fees at LB so much lower than San Diego State? Why is the donor total so low at LB compared to SD State?
EXACTLY! Start upping the checks before complain and try to compare ourselves with schools like a UCSB or goddamn Fresno State! It is not even close how much NIL money they have compared to LBSU
I think that we have a little over 2,000 boosters, which generally says that the AVERAGE booster donates about $700 per year. We either need to attract a lot more boosters, or hope that our current booster base is willing to make major increases to our donor levels per year if we want to compete with the schools that we would like to compete with in sports!!!
It is interesting in that we, the donors, contribute less than $1.5M compared to the donor contributions at schools that we would like to compare ourselves to!!! In short, we in general, are part of the problem!!!!
