Try this yet again
Aside from staff effort (beyond Legends on 2nd St and Naples Rib Joint)... and previously noted low student fees at one of the most applied to unis in the NATION....
Donor interest low perhaps:
• One NCAA in flagship sport is 20+ years ago
• Last CWS in Omaha 25 yrs ago
• WVB 20 yrs removed from a run
• MVB is the very successful and very well funded but honestly it's a 'niche' sport with less than 20 D1 teams and only half those fully funded. It has a loyal but niche following.
Oh, and let's not forget:
• 49er alums, like me, no longer have a mascot or name they recognize. #NotHappy
But otherwise, what could possibly hold back donor giving?
New A.D. has big job re-energizing after 20 yrs of turds. Previous Message
How about someone gets off their ass in the Athletic Dept and start going after more alums, fans, students for new donors. It's not fair to blame the people that are already generously giving their hard earned money. We need new blood or we will be D2 in a very short time. Previous Message
EXACTLY! Start upping the checks before complain and try to compare ourselves with schools like a UCSB or goddamn Fresno State! It is not even close how much NIL money they have compared to LBSU Previous Message
I think that we have a little over 2,000 boosters, which generally says that the AVERAGE booster donates about $700 per year. We either need to attract a lot more boosters, or hope that our current booster base is willing to make major increases to our donor levels per year if we want to compete with the schools that we would like to compete with in sports!!! It is interesting in that we, the donors, contribute less than $1.5M compared to the donor contributions at schools that we would like to compare ourselves to!!! In short, we in general, are part of the problem!!!! Previous Message
