Disagree, as would the fan base that has been losing interest over the last 10 plus years. Again, as noted by many below, it's bittersweet for most because Dan is a class act, has run a clean program with a focus on academics and being good people, had a couple good years. But that can't be enough for a school like LB State over a 17 year run.
I too want to see him go out on a high note and in the NCAA tournament. He deserves it and so does the team.
But the program needed a change for long term and Bobby understood that coming from SDSU.
Please look at the energy at Men's Volleyball games and dare to dream that in the future, we can reignite the LB State community to rally around men's basketball. The new coach will have to get out there and get it!!!!

Totally agree. Glad Byank is communicating. The team played their hearts out.
Things are rapidly changing in the college sports world. We need an experienced coach like Dan to help navigate thru it. Unfortunately we will not have it.
The main focus going forward will be making sure our athletes get their education and degrees and that is what Dan has been doing. This is a very unfortunate situation.
