The grass could definitely be greener. All problems won’t be fixed, but even though this tournament might end well…the fact is Monsons coaching style was not adaptive. Almost every season the same problem areas existed. And for all that money he got with the Gauntlet schedule, it didn’t pay off to the team’s success like it was implied it would. Many of the people on here who defended him all the time did this because they became too friendly with him, and their view became biased. Understandable, but not the best for the program. His recruiting didn’t even bring in a solid PG. Yan although a team favorite shouldn’t even be on the roster. Also Monson’s son shouldn’t be on the roster. Those two spots could have given us elements we needed. And Silva and Thompson are easily viewed as not good fundamentally sound players by anyone who truly understands the game. The other schools ran a way deeper bench than us, which is why league went the way it did, and why we had a lot of wear and tear injuries. I do believe a new coach will vastly improve the program, and if the AD can get in the ear of some players, I bet more of the “good ones” stay than you realize. We have a good chance of winning tonight and that is the focus, but the problems at hand will eventually be solved. Schools have been through worse and came out on the greener side. As stated I hope we win tonight, and Monson leaves on a positive. Best of luck to him and the team.
You guys all think the grass is greener on the other side lol....
You better enjoy this run!!! these players. zero chance any of the good ones come back. Lets go dancing. But after this run with this years team it will be slim pickings at the Beach. with no NIL, poor poor budgets, etc you guys think just a new head coach will flip around the department budget deficit and the cost to repair the pyramid roof? LOL
keep dreaming. this team will win tonight. sad there doesn't appear to be a full crowd of LB fans at the arena from what it looks like on TV
