I am encouraged by the way Acker positions his program: player development and preparing for the pro level. This would be a perfect case study: the guy was a 5 star and has natural talent. Let's hope he can tear up the league.

Askew may look like a pure shooter, but his numbers seem to indicate otherwise.
From three point his shooting percentages in his 4 season are :27.8%, 32.0%, 29.9% and 14.3% (freshman year first)
From the line, he has been inconsistent, sometime great, other years awful: 80.6%, 54.5, 86.5% and 78.9%
Overall FG%: 34.5%, 40.0%, 37.8% and 31.3%
Bottom line, there is a reason he has fallen to us. But, I have been hearing that Acker is a great teacher, hopefully he can get him where he needs to be.
Nick Faust was a freak athlete without a doubt. A bit out of control otherwise sometimes. Was more of a 2 guard. Askew seems like a combo guard, even a 1 just as seen from the clips.
One thing too is that Askew is a pure shooter.

Kind of reminds me of the Nick Faust deal. Hope he turns out as valuable.
I am very happy that he is on board.
Some highlights from Devin Askew. Between this coaching staff obviously very focused on player development and the overall Big West, I have hopes that he can tear up this conference and get his groove back.
And I'm looking forward to seeing that jumper in the Pyramid. He's obviously an intelligent guard as well.
