"They're leaving anyway, and why would I develop a kid for someone else? Why would I do that?
Scary way moving forward. Either you are good enough for a starting job at a top program or everyone else not going to waste their time developing players. Just make them semi pro already. College basketball gets unwatchable at times.

Calipari thinks 8-10 scholarships, the rest walkons, and extra grad assistants to round out a practice squad. Intriguing. Would save a few bucks at LB and those extra grad assistants could help in many ways.
