UCI did get their talented 7-0 Bent Luechten to return from the portal. Throw in returnees Andre Henry, Devin Tillis and its a solid core to build around. Like everyone else will be plenty of new guys to mix in.

Interestingly, rough couple of weeks for UCI basketball. Losing several players to portal, even one to us, now this. Badrtalei's been there forever, even a couple of years with Douglas, I believe. You'd think you have to beat out a lot of really good candidates to get on the SDSU staff, so that's another big loss for UCI. Being gifted one of Kobe Bryant's championship rings probably not a bad thing to show recruits. Assume Wilder gets the bump up to Assoc. HC.
