I assume the Coaching staff knows better than me. So if they preferred JR, they are probably right.

But, it appears to me we got the better player. JR fits the mold of guys like Isa Silva. Like Silva, he was highly recruited out of HS, also like Silva, he has had an opportunity to prove he can get it done and has come up short. I get that JC ball is not D1 quality. But someone who can put up 23 PPG in arguably the best JC league in the country is in my book going to be a lot more prolific scorer than the 2.1 PPG in D1 guy. Since JR will be at UCSD, we will get to see who does better. My money is on Curtis.
