I don't think either Oregon St or Washington St will get a Power 4 invite. Their MBB are average at best but Oregon St has a great baseball team but WSU doesn't offer much.
Yes, I see Oregon St and Washington St being much like BYU where it was a temporary fit until they found a Big 5 Conference.
Washington St and Oregon St are interlopers, there’s still another half decade of instability and, eventually, they’ll be some sort of geographical alignment of college football, even if it’s not the original Pac12 and even though the SEC/Big10 (especially those at the top of the conference) are going to figure out how to make an extreme disproportionate portion of the money. Wash St. / Ore. St. will eventually end up in a league with other football playing members. Maybe we could pick up CBU, I kinda doubt it, but I’d make sure there’s a commited time, or buyout, attached, because I think they have aspirations higher than us.
I just don't know how many teams the WCC wants to take on.
Location wise, for the conference and for UCR, they would be a good fit. But, I would think that they would probably be a better fit for the WCC!
What does everyone thing about the BW adding Cal Baptist to the Conference?. The WAC is about to go to 7 school in 2025 when Grand Canyon and Seattle join the WCC and adding Baptist would give the BW an even amount of teams at 12 and give UCR a rival as the are both in Riverside. I think it is a good idea as they have a nice arena that holds 4 or 5 K and it would be another local school. Interested to see what you guys think good or bad.
