SDSU will use long term leases for groups to build offices/housing, they won't take it on themselves. They will receive rents on land in return. The portion that is campus expansion is on them.

Fresno State is asking for a sales tax measure to boost their capital expenditures. I'm generally against tax raises. They want a new concert venue for 1200 people. I doubt their 300 seat theater gets full for events. Also, Fresno has many theaters around town that could be utilized such as the redone Warnors Center. Their campus space is perfect for students to study, hone their craft, why spend $45 million? Also, they want $313 million for maintenance/small physical upgrades (not capital projects) around campus. How is that not budgeted for already?

But then I see they want to rebuild the football stadium, build on campus housing, and expand athletic facilities, and I say VOTE YES. Biased indeed.
