There absolutely is a maximum number of D1 games you are allowed to schedule and, contrary to popular opinion, we have consistently played to that number of games. I get the displeasure over the quality of the home schedule, but the D2 / NAIA games don’t prevent us for played more D1 games. It feels like the only way you’re going to see more D1 games at home is if finances improve. FWIW, San Diego St plays some of the same non D1 scrubs we do each year, they just play way more of their D1 NonC games at home…..amazing how stuff loosens up when you actually sell out your games. It would be great to get Pep/LMU/USD more consistently, but lots of SoCal schools want to play them, and the top of the WCC is always pushing the conf to schedule up to get them consistently as a 2-3 bid league.

Isn't there some rule that a DI school can only schedule so many games in a year vs. other DI schools, but they can add a couple extra vs lower division schools? I thought that was the only reason we schedule them, to get in a couple extra home games. Previous Message
You hope D2, D3 or NAIA games are not slop. What the hell do you think they are? This again is a slap in the face to the fans, alums and donors if we have any D2, 3 or NAIA home games. Previous Message

He says we can add up to six more games.
Pretty sure 2 will be DII home games. I hope they aren't slop DII, DIII, NAIA. Hopefully some solid DIIs that can give us a good workout.
That leaves four more. I hope we can get two more DI home games. Then I believe we'd have to schedule a couple west coast road pay games. SDSU and either USC or UCLA?
Would be great if we started regularly playing LMU and Pepperdine.
