The Bwc will remain an anomaly in the NCaa, along with the wcc, wac and a couple of east coast conferences, as non- football and d1 everything else, the olympic sports. The power 4 will decide if we get demoted to D2, the elitists become more elite, entitled and wealthier.
1)We aren't getting invited and 2)We don't have the budget to survive. Like I have said before, I am getting to lose all interest in College sports as what has happend with all the movement is an embarrassment and we will eventually be going D2 in the future. I am watching less and less sports each month/Pros and College and will continue to do so
Just curious the thought exercise on this.
Let's say Gonzaga is on board with Pac-12, and they want an LA area basketball member for the market. Would you uproot all sports for that opportunity? What if the Mountain West survives and comes looking for same thing?
Financially either might come with a little bump to get it done if they are desperate for sports members. Maybe some excitement at a few larger teams/sponsors/tv deal bumps our annual revenue. Expenses go up.
Personally I'm no to the Mountain West. Pac as one of a couple of basketball-only members seems precarious, but an opportunity as well. True road trips with two stops are a new beast, we've been spoiled with our travel (or lack there of).
