The key to Sac State getting the stadium built will be another tenant (Mar mentored the Sacto MLS franchise that took a step backwards, NWSL).
For all other sports, Sac State is facility poor….the Nest seats 1,012, and thus far getting an on campus facility built has been unsuccessful. The days of Hornet stadium getting a look at hosting T and F Olympic trials left the building. Uncle Phil’s facility in Eugene put that to bed. Plus the plan for a new stadium does not include a track.
Attempting to become a moderately successful FBS program will be a money drain given the new PAC4, NIL and revenue sharing environment

If Conoly had any fortitude, she stop crying about not having a 15,000 seat stadium and build. What a joke. I’ve always wished they were big west, especially before bake.
We’ll see what happens, but big announcement, probable new tenants as well (most assuming Sac Republic, but also maybe Rugby/future women’s NWSL )
