Moni is also capable of playing opposite, so maybe we'll see a two setter system (a modified 6-2).

It's possible Moni is a one and done, but I don't think there's nearly as much pressure for making pro money since his brother is doing that, so I'm hoping he stays a little longer.

Moni's 6'-7" brother Alex drove us to the championship game a few years back. At times he was unstoppable. Amazing hops and wicked cannon of an arm. Tremendous serve.

Is why I posted this. Apparently 80 mph is elite speed, matched by few. Watch the aces fly on by! The student section is gonna go ballistic this season.

I cannot wait to see Moni in person. It feels like he is going to dominate the college game and lead us deep if not all the way. If we even get average backrow passing, he'll set well. If we get above avg or dream of dreams, high level passing, we will be close to unstoppable.

The MVB team is deep as always, and Moni is joined by 3 other Bulgarian studs: 6-6 So MB Lazar Bouchkov, fierce and athletic; 6-7 Fr OH Alex Kandev, considered a top prospect; and 6-4 OH/OPP Georgi Binev (was a top player at LBCC last year). So he will feel right at home.
