Xavier forward Lassina Traore will miss the 2024/25 season after suffering a season-ending knee injury in practice, according to Musketeers head coach Sean Miller.
Miller posted the update on Traore to social media on Monday.
Last Wednesday, Lassina Traore suffered a season ending knee injury in our practice.
Lassina was a starter on this year’s team. He had a great summer and preseason, where he improved his game as much as any player in our program. He emerged to be our team’s best rebounder,

"Lassina was a starter on this year's team. He had a great summer and preseason, where he improved his game as much as any player in our program," Miller's statement said. "He was in superior condition and became a tone setter for everything that impacts winning.
"There is no silver lining here for us."
2024/25 would have been the first season in Norwood for Traore, who spent the last two seasons at Long Beach State.
Last year, the native of the Ivory Coast led the Big West in rebounds, at 10.3 per game, to go along with 11.9 points and 1.2 assists.
