I haven't watched a game since the Fresno St debacle, but it sounds like those last 5-10 minutes carried over. Sounds more mental than anything.
The team speed at guard is below average. Hart will help but he's only a tiny answer in a sea of questions.
The only way I see this team being decent is everyone playing at their best in a structured team defense. The offensive talent is way below average. The only guy that has multiple tools is Lloyd and he's not developed enough to rely on. Askew and Wainwright would be good compliments on a team that had a stone cold scorer to rely on. They aren't, and are being asked to do that.
I'm generally staying away from the fray for now. I'll post observations and that's about it.
Agree, it would be hard for them to get any worse.
I too believe Acker will turn things around but it is the way the team is not responding that has many on here upset. I have seen High School teams play better BB than what this team is showing. Very disappointing start to say the least.
The team looks bad to start the season...no doubt. However, I've got some faith in Acker. His coaching from the bench is 1000 times better than Monson.
He's a first year coach that is cobbling together a team on the fly. His first recruiting class is better than anything Monson ever had minus the Larry Anderson class.
Give the guy some time. I think he's going to turn LBSU around.
