Once this team learns how to make team defensive stops regularly, their offense will flow better. They need confidence somewhere, and the offense is pretty low octane and the only option I see is team defense. The only guys I see that can manifest stops by themselves at times are DMX, Denson, and surprisingly Eli...Lloyd could get there someday. This team is littered with guys who would operate best in a team first philosophy.

Here's a guy who scored 23 ppg at a good JUCO that didn't have any other scorers...Cory Curtis Jr. I wonder if we forced a bunch of action his way, could he deliver? Get him going, then Askew and Wainwright could pick their spots more.

There are enough components on this squad but no killers who can shoulder the load enough on their own. Strong team defense will boost this teams confidence and lead to better offense. Even if they get there, the talent is probably only enough to make us competitive in the BW but we'd all prefer that over getting whomped all the time.
