Maybe this has been covered, if so I apologize, but does anyone know why the schedule has been changed where the first conference games are taking place early in December versus between Christmas and New Years Day (traditional start), with non conference games schedule In between? Obviously, all the teams are participating and agreed to this, I’m just curious about the thought process? Knowing the challenge for a lot of schools to arrange decent D1 home games during the non conference, is this a way to get their fan bases engaged earlier? Thanks in advance.
