I would hate for LBS to cut sports. But NIL's are big business.

The basketball is way better in mountain west, even with the split. Financially is tough travel wise for the department but better venues and more eyeballs at games. Previous Message

The UC's budgets are more protected coming from the governor's office, but UCR is not doing so great. I think some WCC/Big West wrangling might be coming as the WCC has a few universities who's entire school is in trouble, not just athletics. LMU already cut sports to stave off the issues. I bet the UC schools will be heading to the MW because of $$$. The Big West is in trouble. In order to survive they would have to raid the Big Sky or join it. The top basketball teams in the BigWest are the UC schools. UCR is the only question mark for MW. College sports have become $$$$ grabbers. I guess we all have wait for more information.
