A SAC-12 committee is pursuing a stadium complex but as far as I can tell there is no hard and fast funding as yet? A developer is part of the committee. Sacramento a ew years ago was pursuing an MLS franchise that feel through. A state of the art stadium would help both Sac State and soccers cause.
A lead committee member is the brother of Sac States president. The Sac Bee describes him as dabbling in real estate.
Sac States target is the PAC which seems a real reach. They are facilities poor with a gym seating 800 and a baseball diamond put together over time with bleacher seating.
So yes other than FCS football, they could be a candidate for the BWC. All said, I wish them luck in this pursuit. Realistically? Previous Message
Their baseball team has been pretty solid, but agree everything else is lacking .
I thought big west should have tried to get them instead of bake a decade ago, if they could figure football out.
They are trying to be major football, so Big West doesn’t align now. But as a Davis travel partner back then, I would have been fine with it as it was better than Bake.

What does Sac State have to offer except Football? They will be another bottom feeder whatever conference they move too. Previous Message
Sac State would have no reason to get into the Big West. Sac State has football and will be building a new football stadium. They will want to be in a conference that gets TV revenue. Long Beach and the Big West have nothing to offer them that would make them better.
