The location of that game is yet to be determined because of the issues at Walter Pyramid after a suspended ceiling collapse in the loading dock area. No one was injured but the game was moved, “Out of an abundance of caution,” according to LBSU Athletic Director Bobby Smitheran.
Smitheran added that engineers will confirm the safety of the structure before any decision is made about playing games at Walter Pyramid. Previous Message
The blue entrance, south side, probably has some kind of dry rot or something. The underside of the bridge that takes you to the blue entrance, it looks like water damage. Saw some photos and my buddy was a gen'l contractor for a long time. Not looking good. Crumbling is the best way to describe it. The other entrances are taped off, precautionary for now I would guess.
Saturdays game may be in the Gold Mine again. From what I was told. But no one really knows.
At this point I could care less where MBB plays, but MVB if the Mid isn't available, I'd rather they go elsewhere the gold mine and its low ceiling is a joke for volleyball at our level.
Crumbling infrastructure, get used to it.
