OK we get that Blair is a pitcher friendly park. We don't need 50 posts stating the same thing. Holy S**t we are 4 freaking games into the season and some of you losers are complaining that the season is over. ![]() Our Park Factor was the biggest in College baseball last year. Sea level. Moist air due to proximity to the ocean. Very generous foul territory adjacent to home plate and infield. Balls just don't carry well, and with the old configuration, it was really hard to get a ball over the tall, distant OF walls. Textbook pitchers park. ![]() Add in night games with heavy air where not only are you in a big ballpark, but the ball does not travel well. Blair is not a high offense park. ![]() Exactly, Sparky. Blair Field is a dream for pitchers. The offense will ALWAYS struggle at Blair. ![]() BF, Blair is a pitcher's park. It is bigger than most major league ballparks. Therefore, far fewer home runs than most other NCAA fields, so less runs. Even when we were top 20 consistently, Blair kept us pitching oriented. ![]() How is this conclusion made? It is a sport, baseball. Anything can happen at any time. ![]() The offense will always struggle at Blair Field. ![]() The Dirtbags do have a large following and last year despite a sub par season lead all California schools in attendance. There were good crowds for the Northwestern series. There top 3 starting pitchers pitched well last weekend but after Friday their offense has been struggling. ![]() Tough spot Interim coach couldn't sign anyone last year; who would commit? TJ grabbing what he could late. No NIL money so this is the new reality. A.D. & staff have no idea how to fundraise or sell in the community so how does it improve? Just a lot of titles in offices. Tough early loss. All of the games this weekend are winnable. Should win at least 3. ![]() Can't throw strikes and when they do too many are juicy high.
