CSUN sure has improved, but they were also better in a new coache's first year. Can the 49ers make that kind of a jump with a new coach in his second year? I sure hope so because this year has been an embarassment. We would have been better of with Monson as our coach. We all had high hopes with a coaching change (wanted for many years), but we have gone from an NCAA tournament participant to a door mat in one swift move. IMO next year is critical. We can not be this years team next year. The pressure is on the coach already. He has a five year contact and we do not have any buyout money. The future is in his hands and so far this is not an encouraging statement.
