From my quick look at the NIL store all I see is athletic clothing being sold in sub stores tied to particular athletes. If I am in need of buying LBSU gear I will by it from the NIL store because a percentage will go to the athlete I choose. In my mind buying LBSU clothing is separate to any donations I may give the the athletic department. However, I understand your point that you do not want to substitute your athletic department donations to NIL giving. Again, I see this as two different things since I am buying something and just not donating to an NIL fund. ![]() I will not purchase anything from the NIL Store. None of the monies raised from that can be used for the benefit of the athletic development. Many student athletes that get NIL money are hiring agents. Many agents are the sleexe of this. As donors our primary support for athletics should be directed to the athletic dept and when we donate we can designate the sport or sports we want our donation to go to. This is extremely important as we cannot expect the feds to give the states the moneys for any aspect of education it used to. |
