UCSD would be above Irvine. The mocks assume UCSD is the auto. UCSD floats right at the line. The question is would a team like UCSD get the bid over a team like 17-14 Texas? They shouldn't but they probably would take Texas.
UCSD are above board in many metrics, but below in others like strength of schedule.

UCI is on Joe Lunardi's list of possible bubble teams for the NCAA tourney. As of today they are on the second list of 4 teams that would just miss getting an at large bid. This is a close as the BW has been in a long time of getting two teams in the tourney.
