It seems pretty clear that the current (wretched) state of affairs in our athletic program and the new NCAA era of NIL have created a very challenging situation. The choice for the new President seems to be a make or break moment for athletics.

To be honest, I’m feeling a bit pessimistic about the future, but we can’t go down without a fight.

Is there anyone here who wants to brainstorm on real and practical ways to affect the selection process and highlight priorities for the athletic department. Things like organizing donors and long time boosters and community members to address the Chancellor (or even Jane), the LBSU Academic Senate and student government etc. to seek transparency and a role in influencing the process and priorities, like a position on the selection committee (and any other ideas and approaches)?
