Success will come from holding a few guys each year who know the staff and set a mentality.

Every Big West team will struggle. I'd be shocked if anyone outside of Irvine holds on to more than half their roster.

These guys get smoke blown up their keisters from such a young age, and now can be poached with money, and have agents who earn a cut. There is no incentive for them to stay and develop, and, in case we all forgot, to go to school and get a degree.

Acker will have to earn it next year.
