My enthusiasm is gone. I too have been a supporter and season ticket holder since the 1970’s. I’m just disgusted. Never thought I would see this day. I will keep following LB just don’t know if I will purchase my season tickets again. ![]() Sorry to hear that, but I do understand. Like you, I have been supporting LBS since the mid 1960's. I have got to admit that it is not as much fun as it once was, but I still enjoy the games. Hope to see you back one of these days. If you would ever like a ticket or two, give me a shout!!! ![]() NIL WILL KILL the fun ![]() I'm an old graduate (70) and have been a fan of men basketball since then. I have seen many outstanding coaches and players thru the years i.e Tarkanian, Olsen, Winters and more, players like Ed Ratlef, George Trap, Leonard Gray and many more. Those days are gone and do not seem to be able to return in the near future. College basketball is now more of a triple A farm team for the majors than a University team where players come in to play for 4 years to get a free education and an opportunity to advance to the NBA. Players now a days choose a school for NIL $$, starting ability, playing time, exposure and strong competition. They will jump out given better opportunities or $$ anywhere anytime. School spirit is now a ghost. I can't be enthusiastic about a A, AA or AAA LB basketball team that could feed the G league or some oversea team. The local power conference teams, USC and UCLA are now AAA teams for the area, LB is at best AA. I have little interest to become canon fodder to the $$ teams. I'm out. I will continue to watch our teams on TV and cheer but the passion is off for now. I will continue to visit this board and cheer for LB. |
