I've always wondered how the rivalry was never really branded the way they attempted with the Black and Blue Rivalry. Irvine currently way ahead this year, btw. Fullerton/LB rivalry ideas? CSU Skirmish? County Line Clash? Freeway Fracas(I know dodgers angels)? Traffic Tussle? I think those all are better than 15 mile challenge, but I'm biased, I came up with them. Online mapping sites give 17 miles, but that defaults to the downtowns of each city. 15 is more accurate as a straight line, center of campus to center of campus (try gmappedometer to check). This Athetic Dept is now promoting upcoming Fullerton softball series as the "15 Mile Challenge". The what? So, we're going to come up 2 to 9 miles short? Distance between campuses is 17 miles by air or 24 by car. Look it up. This new admin crew really invent some stupid sh#t. Yet seats remain empty except for MVB. It is the F Hats. Just say that. You don't need to "reinvent" decades of rivalry. Particularly on the diamonds. Just another dumbing down under Smitheran. |
