Anything can happen. CSUN just beat UCSD in two mammoth matches over the weekend, a set 4 went to 39-37! UCI was challenged hard by UCSB. But I'd rather not face UCI in the semis let Hawaii battle it out with em.

The good news is we won 5 sets to 4 for the weekend, giving us the tiebreaker for the top seed in the tourney, thus avoiding Irvine in the semi's. Now just don't trip up vs. UCSD! Previous Message

Splitting in Hawaii is solid, I didn't watch the match but a 5th set 15-13 loss means the Beach played well enough to win in the toughest environment in mens vball (except when the Myd is rockin!)
Biggest problem now, Hawaii knows they can beat us on the island. Probably the only place they can beat us. And the tourney is over there. Gotta hope they face UCI in the semis and get taken out.
Beach gotta take care of business next week v UCSD, a very good team. Would love to see Sotiris and Bouchkov back for some spot minutes to shake the rust off, but not holding my breath.
