And, though third hand info, last year's ok freshman women's tennis player at Fullerton is now getting $20,000 from Arizona.
Women's Tennis even on the minor league payroll.
But we have a useless A.D., his former SD State secretary as #2 and chief fundraiser who never mingles. All under the school's VP of Finance.
What could go wrong?

Let's call the NIL hoops era what it is...the minor leagues for the NBA. The low-rated mid-majors are like baseball's single-A ball, the good mid-majors are Double-A, and the P-4 teams are Triple-A ball. It is what it is! Previous Message
It's the unspoken reality. I think we'll see more guys like AJ George who get smoke blown up their you know where by an agent, find a last minute landing spot behind more established guys instead of maturing into a greater role, and instead of being able to really develop in a program, fade out after cashing a check.
I think get rid of requirement to go to college, allow guys to test the NBA waters, then require 2 years at your first school. That would align with an undergraduate curriculum (remember that whole university thing). Previous Message
So now we probably recruit potential and sell hey maybe if you have a good year you can get paid and transfer out? Previous Message
These are just contracts. They can be formulated two years right now, and probably have a buyout similar to coaches contracts. The questions is what recruit would sign on for that? Previous Message
I suppose UCIs run in the NIT gave Tillis some good TV exposure as he had some really good games in that tourney. Hopefully, something will change in the near future. I'd like to see the NCAA require 2 year NIL contracts so the midmajors could have a player for more than 1 year. Previous Message
Transferred to UVA and will get 1 Million dollars for one year. Cha is leaving for about the same amount, but hasn't chosen a school out of his offers yet. NIL.
