No disrespect meant in my tone here Sparky, so while I agree with Slater, you've only cited one.
I'll offer up Lucious Harris as another great ballplayer who grew significantly from year to year. Morlon Wiley as well. As I think about the players I named, Joe Harrington's shadow over that success and growth becomes even larger.

Great list of players who improved over the years. But, I would disagree that other in the more recent past also made huge improvement. A great example is Colin Slater, who was clearly over his head at PG his first season at LB, and became BW POY.

Ahh, but what has been the university's track record for the past, oh DECADE, for developing players? Back in the days of Joe Harrington and Seth Greenberg, and during the fab 5+ era of the Monson regime, we could see players grow and develop from year to year. Akili Jackson. John Hatten. Mike Atkinson. James Cotton. Chris Tower. Juaquin Hawkins (a personal favorite) Grant Stone. Ron Johnson (another personal favorite). Casper Ware. Larry Johnson. Haven't seen much, if any, of that at LB for the last 10-15 years.

Agree thought with off-season strength and conditioning and player development program Nagy would be an 8 and 5 guy

He played hard at LB and did well as a freshman. He will make Point Loma a better team next year. I, too, wish he had stayed at LB.

I thought that Nagy did a very good job for us as a Freshman and wish that he had stayed!!!

Point Loma, that tells me that Mr. Nagy wasn't a D1 level athlete.

We’ll really never know who was pushed out and who decided to leave.
Roster spots disappearing rapidly for guys still in portal.
I would like to see us keep over half our roster every year, but in today’s game that’s unlikely.
