Not unheard of in college sports. A lifer at LB, sad she didn't get the job, but frankly Hawaii is a more stable landing spot currently.
Seems as if she was already involved in the search at Hawaii, as they have had all season to interview. Their coach announced at beginning of year he was done. I'm sure conversations with Kim had happened during the season, and she was fully aware, and maybe pushed for Panita.

Heard she was told she would have to apply for Kym's job in an open search at LN.
Guess she's good enough elsewhere but not for Big Fire's SDSU pal.
