Good question...to which I think you have the answer. However, Gardner has been away for over 40 years, and if he were "friendly" I'd have expected his friendliness to be more visible over that time period (unless I missed it). You don't miss anything.

I'm not convinced that there are many out there who are friendly to our current program.

Well-built PF with a Sam Perkins-type frame has very nice potential. Long arms allow him to rebound outside of his area. Very good student (3.8 GPA) has benefited from excellent high school coaching as his Fairmont Prep coach is Joedy Gardner who played for the legendary Tex Winter at Long Beach State and with the NBA’s Houston Rockets.
