Now that all the players have signed this is one opinion of next year's potential. As coach Acker has said basketball IQ and chemistry are the most important thing to him. With this year's class I feel that those two things will probably improve. It seemed most of the time last year that Askew was asked to individually do too much. With him, TJ and Martin we had fairly strong guards which made us guard dominant. Overall we don't have quite the talent level at guard as last year. There is talent there but not the level as last year. Hopefully this is a good thing and we get more balance from the position. Our bigs seem better than last year. DMX, Johnson and Richardson were OK but didn't generate much scoring punch. With DMX returning and 2-3 more talented players on the front line I feel that we will generate more offense and probably just as much defense. The wings this year seem about equal to last year which didn't generate much production. Overall while not much more impressed with the talent level of this year's team compared to last year's, I feel the type of players we have more suits Acker's style. There should be good offensive balance this upcoming year and hopefully that results in more wins. Obviously I would think we won't have a 15 game losing streak like last year's finished with. I'll say maybe 10-12 wins and probably 5-6 wins in the Big West! Moderate improvment but not by a lot.
