As much as I hate say it, keeping a player who has a good season with us will probably be out looking for a $$$ for the following year. Right now, for us and others like us (most of the BW), keeping good players for multiple years is going to be tough in the future!!! I hope that the players will start to take a look at what has happen to our athletes in the past who have jumped at the money. VERY FEW have had and success. They may have gotten some $$$, but few have seen much playing time!!! That is just off of the top of my head, and I do not have specific names to throw out there.

We only have two players who will graduate in Bender (Gr) and Johnson (Sr). If we can keep the contributors for the 26/27 season, we could improve. Of course, with the portal, several might leave for more $$$. Previous Message
Only way this team is any good is if they pull together as a team from top to bottom, head coach to towel boy. Guard heavy but enough bigs to get by. Shouldn't be any divas demanding this and that hopefully that was a focus bringing in higher IQ team first guys, its the only hope for this squad otherwise bottom of the BW barrel again.
The only other questions to me are can 3-4 guys become consistent shooters outside of 15 feet including DMX, and the two HS freshman Washington and Sykes, can they acclimate quickly and make an impact?
I used to look at teams like this and feel like the season would be fun if nothing else watching some guys develop. But until things change, assuming 3 out of 4 guys won't be back for one reason or another, kind of stinks but its the reality now. Previous Message
I expected us to be better last year. We didn't even come close. We should be better than last year. But we have a new team again this year. Previous Message
It is nice to see names on paper, but we have a LONG way to go before we will know much about how this group blends together. Like always, I have HIGH HOPE, but.... We will see!!! Previous Message
