UC's have a distincly different operating mission, one that leans more towards research and pulling in the most qualified students.
The CSU's are local first teaching institutions, so more commuters.

Sonoma State has plenty of beds.... .

So UCI now offers 17,793 beds for students. How many beds does LB St offer?
Also, regarding funding for the Mid repairs. Because of the very high dollar cost to repair it I don't see the Mid ever getting repaired. It's very sad it has come to this.

Seems par for the course; the CSUs get the student masses and the UCs get the funding.

Seems like the UCs get a high percentage of state grant funds. I wish we could get a grant to fix the Myd. I spoke to someone with knowledge at LB State, and they said to their knowledge no repairs on the Myd have been done to date. I hope our plan for the Myd is not that we pray for no rain.

Oso Tower was partially funded by a $65 million
state grant. Revenue from the new dorm will go
toward 486 student housing grants that will offer $3,870 each. Students are set to start moving in on Friday. The new academicyear gets underway Sept. 25.
