I assume Acker brought in team first guys which seems like mandatory for a coach like him. From the social media posts seems like the team is connecting as team members. I assume having some extra time with the recruits this time around will help.

I'm expecting better team defense, no 'go to' option(s) right away on offense, so hope they get transition buckets and work on offensive movement and passing for open shots. The 3 pt shooting could be ok. I'd be happy if the defense is pretty strong from the beginning, and the offense improves even in small increments.

The key to watch is when the team hits a bad stretch of games, like most teams do, does Acker blow his top a lot, or is he more calm and focused and encouraging even to guys who 'f' up a play?

I hope he shows that kind of character this year, last year he just looked like a frustrated jerk too often.

I think I'll be pleasantly surprised, but I'm not expecting much, would like to see at least double the amount of wins and no long losing streaks, and more encouragement from the sidelines.

I don't see this team getting anywhere near 20 wins unless the team character, defense, and intangibles are all top shelf.
