CollegeAD unpacks the terms of new UC San Diego AD Andy Fee’s five-year contract, which runs from September 15, 2025, through June 30, 2030. Fee is set to earn $340K in base pay with a 4% increase each year. In addition to his base pay, Fee will earn $10K in his first year as AD as part of a talent fee. That talent fee is set to increase by $5K annually. Additionally, Fee will earn a $100K signing bonus and can earn up to $30K this year in incentives. Fee’s bonus cap will grow by $5K each year. If UCSD opts to part ways with Fee without cause, he would be owed 50% of any remaining base pay due to him over the remainder of the term. Should Fee exit before June 30, 2027, he would owe UCSD a buyout equal to one year's base salary plus $200K. If he leaves before June 30, 2029, he would owe $200K and if he leaves before June 30, 2030, it drops to $100K
