I like how we hung tough for 15 minutes. SDSU has some skilled high level players and one of the most dynamic defenses every year, this game no exception.
This is about the worst environment we could hope for to gain an idea of what we will be like in the BWC, the next two road games should be a good barometer though.
SDSU is a beast as usual. What may be good is it looks like we want to play like SDSU does, and this is the very best way to see how its done, game one up and close.
Throw in a crazed crowd and while we have a lot of TOs on steals and a few unforced ones stepping out of bounds, in general I like what I see.
3 pt shooting won't be our forte, but against less hyperactive defenses, maybe our guys can get themselves set better and not be so rushed.
The exterior passing is pretty good, the connection looks much better against a really tough defense to maintain offensive connection. But there are some obvious issues I would be shocked if SDSU didn't find them and exploit them already, and they have, and they did.
Would love to see us put some anxiety into the Aztecs in the 2nd half, but that's probably asking too much they are all hyped up with the 3s and steals and dunks it feels like the feeding frenzies UNLV used to have in their heyday.
