2-Some of them they made real good passes. The root of that is allowing penetration from the wing and needing the help. Have to lock down on the perimeter wings. I'd much rather have our bigs play straight up then someone to look to help/double the post until you absolutely know you need to.

The two problems I saw last night.
1. You can't always start your offense with the same pass to the high post and a handoff to the point. That led to a double team on our guys and several turnovers. also, I don't like starting the offense so far away from the hoop. IMO, that just wastes precious shot clock. I would rather see a first pass as a high-post pass near the 3-point line then a quick pass to a wing to attack the defense. Our existing 1st pass to the post is designed to create a mismatch so a big is guarding our point
after the handoff. The problem is that the post is then going to cut toward the basket, but because of the double team on our guard we aren't able to make the pass and do we really want our post played getting the ball from so far away from the hoop?
2. Our weak side D is not quick enough to get out to the corner to defend a 3 when the opponent swings the ball to the weak side. Solution- let our big front their post and the weak side defender doesn't need to be so deep near the paint for a double team on their big. SD State made many unguarded 3s from the weak side corner.

Even had the final score pretty close
SDSU 81, Beach 49
Only thing I can be happy about, SDSU punches about 4 weight classes higher than us.
I did see some things I liked, others were really bad and hope they get fixed. Like a certain player who had a nice stat line but whined way too much.
I'll panic if we lay turds against Fresno and UOP
