Works out to just over $700,000 a year, and when you get a partner like this, and a strong commitment of funds, it should enhance fundraising overall for athletics.
This won't save the Pyramid as the press release states only a portion of the funds will go to capital improvements and program support, and the majority to scholarships. This could free up some existing scholarship funds for other uses, I guess.
What we have here is some hope that a cogent plan is being put together to fund athletics and repair and maintain the Pyramid for at least 12 more years.
I found this quote interesting but its confusing, is there another commitment coming from another organization or does it mean something else? "This partnership is one of two complementary, mission-aligned organizations with a focus on immediate impact to student-athlete success, to the greater Long Beach community, and opportunities for excellence.

I like the extra money but seems pretty cheap for how expensive everything has become.
