Mid major conferences, especially out west, are going to have to find their niche because it will be extremely difficult to compete outside your conference across the board. Pick and chose a few sports that you can compete in and pour your limited resources into those and fund the others just to compete in your conference. I think each school may have different priorities and fund accordingly.
