The new arena at Cal Baptist cost 70 million, but they had a big donor who funded about a third of it, and that arena doesn't look like a budget low-cost project.

I suspect the university has accepted the fact that there is the possibility; hopefully very few per year, events having to move to the Goldmine.
Structurally, mechanically and from the standpoints of electrical, the Pyramid is functional.
The $30 million - $55 million cost identified in the past would entail not only a complete recladding of the shell but if that would be pursued, structural elements would then need to be brought up to code. With that all electrical and mechanical associated with the roof structure would need to be removed and likely replaced.
Can’t see where the university/CSU system would have the discretionary funds to accomplish. Short of a mega donor stepping in?

I was surprised to hear the LBS Credit Union commit millions to the Myd naming rights without a guarantee of roof repairs. Maybe there is such a guarantee in the contract. I hope the plan isn't to pray for no rain. Previous Message
