I think our point guards need to be more focused on running the offense rather than driving to the hoop and forcing up a bad shot early in the shot clock. IMO, they should let their points come in the flow of the game rather than trying to create offense.

Yes, the streak is over, on paper. But we need a DI win and Friday is the game to do it, against a good but beatable opponent.
Vs. Nobel, a truly low level team
First Half: so so effort and bad execution. It was tough to watch. The starting lineup had no energy and was disinterested. The second unit sparked some energy and commitment and we got a nice lead for a while, then the whole team started floundering, they had effort but the execution was non-existent and even our best player Petar couldn't hit easy shots. No one looked good, the shots weren't falling, and the defense softened up.
Halftime: should have knocked out Nobel already but its a 7 pt lead instead. Acker was surprisingly calm other than barking some instructions out on offense. Not sure if he lit into the team during halftime for the weak execution or what, but if he did, they fully deserved it.
2nd Half: hung out in the sand bar with some buddies from section 115, RIP. Didn't pay a lot of attention to the game but enough to see us pull away and soundly beat Nobel by over 30 like every other team that has spanked these guys. Shots started falling that weren't in the first half, including layups. Everyone played except Jayden (assume he is redshirting) and Shay Johnson (on bench, I think, in street clothes). Looking at the roster, noticed Gondrezick is no longer listed.
Saw interim President Jones at the game. Few students attended, maybe 50 scattered around. Nobel brought some fans and when they made a tough basket, the cheering was louder than what was going on for the Beach in the first half. Second half the crowd came to life a bit more. J Rokk still the emcee but has a female roving emcee working with him.
This game was pretty meaningless the competition was so bad, the only noticeable thing was how we played down to their level in the first half and reversed that completely in the 2nd half.

It was not a pretty win, but it was a win! For a while there in the first half, I was not so sure that we would win, but the team seemed to play better in the second half. This is much more of a TEAM than last year. I think that EVERYONE on the team played tonight and all seemed to play hard. Friday should be interesting, but Susan and I will be out of town until after Thanksgiving!!! GO BEACH!!!
