It's a nice initial pitch to the public that they probably showed the Mountain West as part of their move. Seems at very initial stages, but clearly they plan far in advance as they know the softball venue will need to be rebuilt in a new location as a new building is going at that spot by 2037.

We saw a similar wish list from Vic (minus the sketchup drawings) about all the changes coming, and it really didn't lead to much as far as facilities development. He had as good of support as you can get in King, but the big dollars needed to fund any of it was always lacking, with lots of pushback from everyone outside of Brotman Hall clamoring for funding.

I don't know if Davis has a ton of money to burn, but they do have 76+ endowed scholarships, and are more organized in their overall fundraising setup. Everyone mentions the larger claimed $2 billion endowment, (records of the UCDavis foundation show it at closer to $1 billion in current assets) but that is highly academic based. It relieves pressure on the overall budget for sure.
