Assessment
They seem to pass well and generate lots of good 2 pt FG looks. Only Foxwell and Ballew need to be guarded much beyond the arc. Foxwell is a stud, their pg, and dominates the stat sheet. He plays well, they will win. If he struggles, we play well, we could win. Seems like to make him struggle will require a special effort and scheme on defense.
The Pilots are pretty big and rebound well. We rebound well, just not as big or as much a margin. Their 2nd best player, Timo George, is their best big and it should be a war vs. Petar inside, on offense we should try and get many looks for Petar from beyond the arc.
We seem to have no way of beating the Pilots other than playing lights out for most the game on defense and doing a better job of generating team offense. If someone steps up big, like DMX, that would help. If our key guards have big games from deep, that would help keep it close. I think we have the potential to squeak out a win but its more of a pipe dream at this point. They are pretty young and maybe can have a bad game. They play next at Stanford.
