Nice run in the last five minutes to cut the halftime deficit to 7, but all Portland has to do is get refocused, execute, step on the gas pedal a bit, and its over.

I am with you guys on this one at least tonight. Its like a pickup game with guys who've rarely played together, they connect like 1 out of 10 times on offense, and the defense is lackluster most the time.

Save for Christian Jones and some Petar the execution and shot making has been bottom of the barrel. They don't even know how to get their leading scorer Sykes more than 2 good looks in the entire half.

Portland is decent, their lead guard has a good handle and vision. Everything else is parts. And those parts are clicking enough to show a huge difference between a bonafide DI program and a wanna be one.

Acker has yet to show he can put a team capable of winning games on the floor. Do we have a team captain? We have no lead guard and no on court vocal leadership. A bunch of guys trying to run the plays but if any little thing breaks down you see the panic.

They are trying hard I don't see lack of effort, just lack of cohesiveness, confidence, and bball IQ (wasn't this supposed to be a noticeably higher IQ team? Or did something dumb em all down?).
