Answer is no. USD has 2 wins in 5 games vs Div 1 teams. We have lost 22 games in a row vs Div 1 teams. We haven't learned to win. Some of those losses were close but have always found a way to lose.
Last year we had 5 Div 1 wins. What are the odds we have win 5 this year?

In Div 1 USD has 2 wins against Idaho 78-74, and Grambling St 78-68. They have 3 losses against Idaho St 71-68, UCR 85-71, and CBU 76-61. This Sunday's game is a game we must win as after that we play two good squads, UCSB and UCSD.
In my opinion, it's time to forget the trapping defense in the back court, as it hasn't gotten us many turnovers. I would play a tough man D picking up the opponent about 3 feet above the 3-point line and staying with my man, and getting through screens and switching only when absolutely necessary.
We have been scoring in the 70s or 80s in recent weeks, so our D is the problem. Our goal against USD should be that they score less than 70 points. I hope we can do that.
