Lasina Traore got hurt last year and couldn’t play for Xavier, he’s since transferred to Texas, plays about 17 minutes pg and leads the team in rebounding (7.5 pg). He’s not starting. Jadon Jones also didn’t play last year due to injury at Oklahoma, he’s still there, was injured again to start this year, but has been in their rotation the last 5 games since returning. Not starting, similar minutes, scoring about 8 pts pg. Abubacar’s done as a college player, was kind of a glue guy on the Louisville NCAA team, played decent minutes, didn’t have the stat stuffing offensive impact he did at LB, not a surprise. He also missed a lot of time due to injury (seems like a theme). You can pay your respects to AJ George in person when he comes in with his Bakersfield teammates, he never got anything going at SMU. They’ll likely all end up playing in a 2nd NCAAT by the time they’re done. Would that have happened if they stayed? I thought UCSD was a better squad, even in the year we went, and they were even better last year. Would Acker, if guys had stayed, been able to beat them? I doubt it.

Over the past couple of years, we have lost some key players from our men's and women's teams who have chased after the $$$ rather than get lots of playing time and be a star at Long Beach State.
I have not heard much of anything about any of them. Does anyone know how our former players are doing at their new schools???
